CHRISTOPHER TOROCKIO's first collection of stories, Presence, was published in 2000 by St. Andrews College Press, and recent fiction appears in The Antioch Review, The Gettysburg Review, The Iowa Review, Northwest Review, Denver Quarterly, and elsewhere. He received 2003 and 2004 Pushcart Special Mentions and has been awarded grants from the Connecticut Commission on the Arts, the North Carolina Arts Council, and the Vermont Studio Center. He holds an M.F.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and recently received his Ph.D. from Western Michigan University where he worked under the guidance of Stuart Dybek. His first novel, Floating Holidays, was published by Black Lawrence Press in 2007.
